Welcome to Doctors Lane Surgery
Please note that the practice will be closed for training on the afternoon of the 20th June 2023.
Please be reminded that ALL patients who wish to see a doctor must first speak to a clinician by telephone to be triaged. If the clinician feels that you need to be seen face-to-face, they will arrange that with you directly. As such, we no longer operate a 'Walk-in' surgery, but ask you to contact us via telephone first.
Order prescpritions online
With effect from the 3rd July 2023, we will only accept telephone orders for medication between 2pm and 4pm each day. This will make it much easier for patients with on-the-day clinical needs to get through to the practice to speak to a Doctor or a nurse. You can still drop your order off in person at the Surgery, or at Barton Post Office, but the quickest, and safest, way to order your medication is online via the NHS app or through SystmOnline
To register for SystmOnline, wou will need a uniqe username and password which must be collected in person. To register for the NHS app, download it onto your smart-device, and follow the steps.

Please note that we do not offer travel consultations here at the practice as this is not an NHS service. Some vaccines may be available on the NHS. Visit our Patient services page for more information.

NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is publicised, and the required disclosure is shown below. However it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice. The average pay for GPs working in DRS HODGSON AND KEAVNEY in the last financial year (ending 31st March 2021) was £64120 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 1 full time GPs, 2 part time GPs and 0 locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months
